Germany's Romantische Strasse is reputed to be the oldest tourist
trail in Europe. The 'road' links numerous scenic towns and
villages from Fussen on the Austrian border northwards to
Wurzburg, not far from Frankfurt. Some of the towns are truly
stunning, notably Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbuhl and
