The Peak District is the original and oldest National Park, divided into two by the gritstone dominated Dark Peak and the limestone dominated White Peak. Most of the time is spent in the White Peak, making best use of the network of old railway lines which are now converted into cycle paths, which form the backbone of the rides.

The use of old railway paths provides a conduit into the history of the area and provides a viewing platform for the rich countryside.
