Ref: 1747
   France, Pyrenean Traverse
Monday 4th September 2017 to Saturday 16th September 2017  :  13 days
A classic route from the windy Atlantic coast to the calmer Mediterranean. Approximately 800km, this route climbs 26 cols in 10 days and is a very challenging ride. Famous Tour de France cols (eg. Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin) and many lesser-known cols on minor roads, with spectacular scenery.

Suitable only for experienced cyclists who are used to long, steady climbs in the mountains, and who have the stamina to continue climbing day after day. No rest days. Often the cols on minor roads have steep, sustained gradients but are well worth it for the delightfully quiet roads and impressive scenery.

The tour leader is Lynn Bland  (click on name for contact details)
