For the last 20+ years David has worked as an outdoor instructor specialising in Bushcraft and Primitive survival skills, canoeing expeditions and archery. He recently retired as Director (founder) of Path Hill Outdoors, an alternative education centre set up in woodland near Reading to offer practical skills and support to teenagers who had dropped out of the school system. Before all the outdoor skills came along to shape his life he was a practicing councillor and therapist and many years before that he worked as a gold miner in Australia. Riding a bike ticks all his boxes for exploration and discovery and he has ridden many miles on cycle tours and built numerous bikes for himself and friends. He is currently having huge amounts of fun teaching and managing Bikeability in Primary schools around South Oxfordshire.
